Bethesda has today announced that it will be bringing DOOM Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online to PlayStation 5 with native versions for both, and those who already own the games on PlayStation 4 will receive a free upgrade. The publisher hasn't stated when these enhanced ports will launch, but it does plan on sharing more news in the coming weeks, including what sort of upgrades we can expect.
It then went on to promise that should any more of its games receive a next-gen boost, those will also be free of charge to owners of the PS4 versions. So, Fallout 4 on PS5 anyone? Or how about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition? To be fair, we probably wouldn't say no. id Software hasn't shipped any of the DLC planned for DOOM Eternal just yet while The Elder Scrolls Online continues to be supported with major expansions. Therefore, it makes sense to carry these two titles into the next generation.
