hen the robots take over, it won’t be with Skynet. It will be these adorable, dancing robots. We will let them into our hearts, and they will kill us all. Or maybe they’ll just keep dancing. Here’s hoping it’s just the dancing.
China’s WL Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd assembled 1,069 robots lined up and dancing in unison, which made for enough dancing robots to break the Guinness World Records title for the most robots dancing simultaneously. Which is totally a real category. The ‘bots performed a dance routine in perfect choreography, though a few of them fell down along the way (but enough stayed up to still break the record).
The cuddly little ‘bots are called Dobi robots, and were all programmed together. The video is absolutely bonkers, and though it’s dancing now, it’s just a step or two beyond to throw some little robot swords in their hands and have them marching down main street for a tiny robot takeover.
